    If you think your child will be absent, please call the main office at 682-8000 (ext 85402). Include your student's name, teacher, and reason for absence. Thank you!

    Welcome to Wren Avenue Elementary: School of the Arts! Watch our documentary video to learn about our program!

    It is time to collect Chromebooks, library books and musical instruments and at the same time make sure all of our students' belongings are returned to them.

    We will be collecting and returning student belongings on Thursday, May 28 and Friday, May 29 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. each day. We will be returning and collecting items in the Drop Off/Pick Up drive through of the school.

    2nd Grade - 9:00 a.m.

    1st Grade - 10:00 a.m.

    Kindergarten - 11:00 a.m.

    Friday, May 29

    5th Grade - 9:00 a.m.

    4th grade - 10:00 a.m.

    3rd grade - 11:00 a.m.

    If you have multiple children attending Wren, please pick one time to come for all of your children.

    The final report card for the 2019-2020 school year will be mailed home on Wednesday, June 3rd.  If you do not receive your child’s in the mail, please contact the school office at 925-685-7002.

    Congratulations Class of 2020

    Please Join Us For Wren Avenue’s 5th Grade Promotion

    Wednesday June 3rd, 2020

    Plan of Events

    • The teachers and staff at Wren want to celebrate the end of the school year with our 5th graders! We want to recognize their transition into middle school and give them the best farewell we can.
      • Location: Wren Avenue car loop
      • Ms. Exner’s Class 9:00am-10:00am
      • Mr. Young’s Class 11:00am-12:00pm
    • Students will pick up their certificates,  receive some treats,  and have a chance to take pictures with teachers and staff.
    • We can’t wait to see all of you and are so proud of the work and dedication shown by students and parents!
    • We will practice social distancing requirements at the event. We know  this is a difficult time and students miss their friends and teachers, but please refrain from hugging and close gathering.

    Arts Magnet School program attributes


    Wren Avenue Elementary: School of the Arts is the MDUSD visual and performing arts magnet school. We are creating a collaborative community that builds upon skills students will need as they prepare for colleges and careers.

    Wren Avenue Elementary: School of the Arts is developing an integrated MDUSD regional arts magnet program comprised of high academic expectations through common core standards via the visual or performing arts. The purpose is to provide an artistic avenue for students to fulfill their academic requirements, and to provide them with intensive in-depth training in their arts, English language development, math, and the use of technology.

    Parent and community involvement is highly encouraged. Parents are invited to participate in all aspects of the program.
